Teatteri W's first work Hukka is a magical realist adventure play about work, dreams and revenge. Ässä, who is looking for a job, despite his many attempts, cannot find his place in working life, until finally his singing voice leads him to become a member of a one-person duet. When the road to success seems to have finally opened, an invitation is also extended to the famous gig venue Hukka. Ässä's friends try to convince him that Hukka is a scary place, but Ässä doesn't listen. Once the agreement is made, there is no going back. Welcome to Hukka!

The wind blows through the seaside boulevards of Trieste like a desert of hearts in this Italo Svevo film adaptation, in which a 40-year-old virgin (Anthony Franciosa) living with her sister falls in love with a prostitute (Claudia Cardinale) from the working-class neighbourhoods. The denial of reality and class realities leads to a downward spiral of humiliation and silent suffocation: 'Love is not for intellectuals' is the film's motto.
