Esiintyjät / Artists:

JYROCK 2024 PRESENTS: PAMBIKALLIO

Nothing beats a brand new past. There’s timeless music, and then there’s music like Pambikallio that conjures up vivid memories of a time that never was. Dreamy pop drawings of dear friends you’ve yet to meet. Soundscapes you swear echo of the classics, yet they’ve never been recorded before. It’s easy to lose yourself in Pambikallio’s music, but to let it loose- is impossible.

JYROCK 2024 PRESENTS: BUSINESS CITY
Business City is from Lahti.

JYROCK 2024 PRESENTS: NÄKYMÄTTÖMÄT: Yö voittaa, häviän
The oblivion, endless to those unaware of light. Näkymättömät steers clear of conventions, chiseling soundscapes into sculptures, wrapped in poetry. Every now and then a voice breaks the surface, shimmering like a swamplight in the night. Inherit the infinite, but enjoy Näkymättömät responsibly.

JYROCK 2024 PRESENTS: SONJA SELENE
In Finland we have this thing called iskelmä. Brand-new singer-songwriter Sonja Selene updates timeless oldies for modern sensibilities. Subtly powerful expression, personal yet relatable lyrics and catchy classic rhythms. Only time will tell where the road leads for Sonja Selene but we are glad to have her stop by Jyrock on the way.

JYROCK 2024 PRESENTS: REBEKKA HOLI
On her second album ’Kukkaan’ Rebekka Holi bursts into bloom in a world of child-like joy and adult realities. Rebekkas poppy rock carries with it faint scents of scandinavian music groups past, but is not to be found nowhere but in the here and now. Snappy and catchy songwriting, quirky and curvy melodies. Come and get your holistic education, come and see Rebekka Holi at Jyrock.

JYROCK 2024 PRESENTS: SEPIKKA
The freshest of winds rushing across the skies of Finnish indie whisper but one name: Sepikka. This group wraps flawless art rock compositions in a rich and inviting blanket of instrumentation, incorporating everything from horns and strings and jazzy piano runs to bursts of fuzzy noise. Each song from Sepikka’s new album ’Ei koskaan rakkaudella’ is an exploration of a new unknown, of brand new forms of love and nature. For the curious hearts out there- Jyrock strongly recommends getting to know Sepikka.

JYROCK 2024 PRESENTS: BABEL

Listening to Babel is to take a walk through a waking dream. Never has a genre label been as accurate as ’Dream Pop’ is for Babel. Low-key but layered instrumentation, blissfully soft vocal delivery. Babel is a beautiful marriage of confidence and the ethereal. Close your eyes and breathe- let Babel whisk your worries away.

JYROCK 2024 PRESENTS: AHTI KULO

Behind walls of blinking lights, under endless seas of cables and wires pulses a fierce unknowable force. That force is wild card of experimental electronics- Ahti Kulo. Crushing waves of pounding noise, maelstroms awash with dark and twisting synths seamlessly giving way to distant echoes of unfamiliar soundscapes bouncing off the walls of long-forgotten cathedrals. Do yourself a favour and place yourself in the eye of the storm. Make sure to check out Ahti Kulo at this year’s Jyrock.

JYROCK 2024 PRESENTS: ELLAZOFIA
If you dive deep into the electronic end of this year’s Jyrock, you may just discover yourself dancing to the beat of ELLAZOFIA’s cool and understated electropop.

***
JYROCK 2024 PRESENTS: SONIA
Hailing from Jyväskylä- Sonia represents the cutting edge of the softer, more thoughtful side of alternative pop the country over. Sonia’s silky-smooth vocal lines dancing atop world-class production will wisk you away on a trip within.

***
JYROCK 2024 PRESENTS: JAAKKO KULTA
Jaakko Kulta represents a new wave and a new way of Finnish pop rock where youthful passion burns and thoughtful lyrics shine bright as gold. And yeah, what a better venue to showcase tomorrows stars than Jyrock.

JYROCK 2024 PRESENTS: KISSA
Yup, the cat’s outta the bag. We too like to live dangerously, and what a better soundtrack to reckless abandon than the most dangerous band in the country!
Jyrock welcomes KISSA, the hottest action rock name in the business. A fateful mix of classic rock sounds and modern sensibilities, youthful fervour and mature confidence guide this group on their way to the tippy top of rock and roll and a pit stop at Jyrock just makes sense.

JYROCK 2024 PRESENTS: LALA SALAMA
Fiery up-and-comer to the rock scene, Lala Salama, brings a fresh angle on tried and true rock antics, offering flashes of genuine fragility between sequences of full-throttle garage rock. Come and see for yourself just why Lala Salama is quickly becoming the most wanted booking for festivals in Finland.
