Kauko Röyhkä is a longtime rock musician whose songs have both delighted and angered Finns since the 80s.
Kauko Röyhkä is a long-time writer and rock musician who has been irritating, shocking and delighting the Finnish people with his songs and novels since 1980.
Kauko Röyhkä’s first album Steppaillen (1980) is a Finnish rock classic, and his novel Two Suns was nominated for the Finlandia Prize in 1996. Röyhkä has also written film scripts, TV dramas, columns and record reviews, among other things. In 1995 Röyhkä was awarded the Finland Prize and in 2009 the State Art Prize. This versatile talent still shows no signs of slowing down.
The 90s Absurdism concert will feature selected pieces of material recorded by Kauko Röyhkä in the 1990s.
