Based on the comic book by James O'Barr, this adult fairy tale tells the story of rock star Eric Draven, who returns from the grave to avenge the deaths of himself and his girlfriend. Alex Proyas' hard-working direction is an aesthetically strong ensemble piece. "Heavy metal horror film The Crow is bathed in supernatural night tones," wrote Eija Niskanen of the Love & Anarchy Festival. The 69 Eyes band paid tribute to the film's sad juxtaposition with the main protagonist with the hit song "Brandon Lee". (Kino Regina)
