Musica Rock returns after a five-year hiatus! The versatile artist lineup consists of both public favorites and music students' own bands, both from Jyväskylä and elsewhere. 26.10. Ilokivi will have a party on two floors with music and workshops starting at 12!
Musica Rock is a music festival organized by Trioli ry, the student organization of musicology students at the University of Jyväskylä, and its purpose is to raise money for charity. This year the event will be organized by Trioli ry with the student organization of music education, Pedaali ry. The profit from Musica Rock will go to Nyyti ry, which is a mental health organization for students.
In 2024, Musica Rock will return after a five-year break, and now the organization team has an ambition to invest in the festival more than ever. The organization team is quite large, and we have invested in the high quality in all possible situations regarding the organization of the event.
We have an exciting line-up of artists: both well-known favorites and student’s own bands from our music department, Jyväskylä and elsewhere. One idea of Musica Rock has been to bring local artists and bands to the stage and to the hearts of the audience. In 2024, Musica Rock, contrary to its name, will feature artists from several different genres, so it is sure that all listeners will find something for their music taste! With sponsorship funding and proceeds from the ticket sale, we want to bring artists from several different genres to the stage and guarantee a responsibly organized, efficiently produced and all-round magnificent and memorable event experience for everyone.
The event will be held on October 26th at Ilokivi in Jyväskylä, where the first 365 ticket buyers can enjoy the festival atmosphere. In addition to the gig, we want to offer ticket buyers various workshops and activities alongside music performances. These workshops are organized by our sponsorship partners. The workshops are tailored to the interests of our target group, young adults aged around 20-35, for example in different areas of student and youth well-being and other interesting topics.
